Camp Bruce Lee
Join us for an action packed week of Camp Bruce Lee。 Created in partnership with the Bruce Lee Foundation, campers will learn from the teachings and life of Bruce Lee through daily martial arts lessons, guided explorations of the A Dragon Lives Here exhibit and Chinatown-International District, as well as through arts and crafts, games and more! Campers will be immersed within Bruce Lee’s philosophies and learn how we all can take away insightful life-lessons from this great role-model。 The camp will explore his messages on gaining confidence and tapping into the unlimited potential found within all of us。 At the end of the week, family and friends are invited to participate in a presentation where we’ll share all that we learned throughout the week and will culminate in an exciting board breaking ceremony。 Camp Bruce Lee changes lives – providing participants with a renewed sense of confidence, physical and mental stimulation and exercise, self-awareness, fun, and lifelong friendships! No previous martial arts experience necessary—only the willingness and openness to learn!
Camp Bruce Lee will happen in conjunction with the Los Angeles Camp Bruce Lee. To learn more about the Bruce Lee Foundation and what the Los Angeles Camp Bruce Lee is up to please go to http://bruceleefoundation.org/campbrucelee/

Neighborhood Stories through Food
Green onion pancakes, samosas, sesame balls and more!
Neighborhood Stories through Food will have campers taste their way through our Chinatown-International District。 The history behind flavors and foods will be shared as the campers learn about our vibrant community and the restaurants that create it。 We’ll also be taking what we learned back into the museum by trying out techniques and dishes back in our kitchen and art classrooms。
The typical day of camp during this week will be structured to include a tasting of a special dish and an activity highlighting an element or technique to that dish. Campers will be taken on excursions around the surrounding Chinatown-International District during camp hours.
We apologize but some dietary restrictions might not be accommodated。 Please contact mhayashi@wingluke。org to inquire about your child’s food restrictions and the camp。
Please be advised that choosing our 8/3 date will register your camper for the entire week of camp from 8/3-8/7. Registration information should be filled out for one’s camper. If questions are not applicable please write n/a in answer box.

From the dragons resting on lampposts overhead, to the zodiac animals hidden within the bricks, campers will learn about and explore the art found in the Chinatown-International District。 Throughout the week, surprises will be found in unexpected places and will serve as inspiration for breath-taking works of art produced by the campers。 Campers will come away with hand-decorated tea cups and mosaics made from treasures discovered during the week –just to name a few projects that they’ll try their hand at。
